Our story

LUMIKI Studio was founded by Mina Takahashi, a Japanese interior stylist, and Emily Carter, an American home decor curator.

Together, they created LUMIKI around a simple idea: a home does not need more things — it needs better-chosen things.

Our collection focuses on soft lighting, sculptural decor, vases, planters, rugs, kitchen accents, and space-saving storage for calm, practical, and beautiful living spaces.

We are drawn to natural textures, warm neutral tones, ceramic surfaces, woven details, wood finishes, and simple silhouettes that make a room feel grounded without feeling crowded.

LUMIKI Studio is about thoughtful home decor — pieces that bring warmth, structure, and quiet beauty into everyday life.

Our Product Philosophy

Every product has an impact. That is why we choose our assortment carefully.

We focus on pieces that serve a clear purpose in the home: lighting that changes the mood of a room, sculptural decor that creates a focal point, planters that bring organic shape indoors, rugs that soften hard spaces, kitchen pieces that remain useful, and storage that makes small homes easier to live in.

Rather than offering endless options, we build collections around materials, form, and function. Natural textures, warm neutral tones, and simple silhouettes are selected because they age more quietly than trend-driven colors or overly decorative details.

Our approach is simple: fewer pieces, better placement, longer use.

Our Ongoing Standard

We are still growing, and our sustainability work is ongoing.

As LUMIKI Studio develops, we will continue improving how we select products, describe materials, reduce unnecessary packaging, and give customers clearer information before purchase.

We believe responsible home decor is not about perfect claims. It is about practical progress: better choices, clearer information, fewer unnecessary purchases, and products that remain useful in real homes.

A calmer home begins with what we choose to bring into it.
